Contributing Research Article to the Jnana-Pravaha Research Journal

Introduction

It is a matter of great satisfaction for us that the Jnana-Pravaha Research Journal (JPRJ), published annually by the Institution, has carved a niche for itself in the academic world of Indological Studies. Renowned Scholars of Indology from India and abroad contribute their research articles to JPRJ. It is released on 1st of August every year on the occasion of the Beginning of New Academic Session.

Invitation

Fresh articles are invited from the scholars/researchers specializing in any stream of Indian Culture, such as History, Archaeology, Architecture, Sculpture, Painting, Textile, Numismatics, Epigraphy, Palaeography, Philosophy, Sociology, etc.

Procedure

If selected by the Editorial Board of the Institution, the research article received by the end of March will be published in the forthcoming issue to be released on 1st of August the same year. The research article which is submitted after March, if selected, will be retained by the Institution for getting it published the next year with the permission of the author.

Important

A particular style sheet is being followed for JPRJ. The details are given below:

  1. Our esteemed contributor is requested to avoid the use of diacritical marks in his/her text.

  2. The non-English words/technical terms should be in italics.

  3. Approximate word limit for the article: 1500-2000 words (including the endnotes).

  4. Number of illustrations: Preferably 10-15 good quality, high resolution images, 300 dpi and above.

  5. Standard format for the captions of the illustrations: Main Subject, Provenance/Style/Date, Material/Dimensions, Current Location, Photo Courtesy.

  6. Standard format for the References/Endnotes/Footnotes is given below:
    1. For authored book: Author Surname, Name, Year, Title of book, Place, Pages.

    2. For edited book: Editor(s) Surname, Name (eds.), Year, Title of book, Place, Pages.

  7. Please also send your brief Bionote, in approximately 50 words, to be included at the end for author's formal introduction, in the format given in the sample below:
    Sample: Prof. Vidula Jayaswal, recipient of Dr. V.S. Wakankar National Award (2020), excavated numerous ancient sites and conducted ethnographic surveys of traditional crafts. Besides authoring more than 80 research papers and 25 books, she is particularly credited for publishing books on ancient Varanasi, the area of her numerous field researches.
