Description: Circular wooden prayer-box with three paintings on paper pasted inside; used during travel for routine worship. Box, with three units – central disc and two lids shaped in lathe machine and coloured with black and red lacquer – coated paper. Remark : Three circular paintings are pasted on lid and either side of the central disc. Lid depicts Mahaprabhu Vallabhacharya, his son Vitthalanathaji and his seven grandsons. Sadhu Pande, a great disciple of Mahaprabhuji, in blue turban pays obeisance to his master. One side of the central disc shows depiction of Janmastami-darshana. Shri Nathaji in yellow cakadarajama and Navanitapriya in cradle, tended by Nanda and Yoshada in the foreground. Other side shows Annakuta-darshana with Shri Nathaji and other sacred images of nidhis. Such boxes are referred to as ‘dabri’ or ‘Bhagvanaji nu dabri’ in Gujarati.
